Fostering Creativity at Home: Science
Time: 10:30am – 12:30pm

Kids are always asking “why?,” so it’s no wonder that they make some of the best scientists. In this two-hour, interactive workshop, kids, parents, teachers and adults will learn how to foster an environment that nurtures the exploratory impulses, curiosity and sense of excitement and discovery in the children in their lives – with a frozen water balloon. Exploratorium Institute for Inquiry educators Fred Stein and Marilyn Austin will guide us through the process, using materials and tools that we all possess. For parents with children: Children will be allowed to participate in a “children-only” creative activity, facilitated by staff. The workshop runs concurrently to the parent workshop. For ages 5 and up. Limited capacity workshop; advance registration recommended. Please call (415) 674-2870 to register.
