Ice People (2007, 77 min.) by Anne Aghion, is a beautifully shot documentary bringing a remote corner of the southern world into vivid focus through the lives of four geologists based in Antarctica’s McMurdo station. It screens in the Exploratorium’s McBean Theater on Sunday, December 14 at 11am and 2pm. After the screening, meet the scientists themselves — they’ll speak with us at 1pm via live Webcast from Antarctica.
Ice People is presented in conjunction with the Exploratorium’s Ice Stories: Dispatches from Polar Scientists (http://icestories.exploratorium.edu), an ongoing series of blogs and live Webcasts following the adventures of research scientists in Antarctica and the Arctic.
