Audio Salon — May 2009

The Exploratorium Audio Salon
Listen to the Exploratorium Online

The Exploratorium is not only an interactive museum of science, art and human perception. It’s also a hub where leading thinkers and makers converge and share ideas. Visiting scientists, artists, educators, and visionaries all pass through its doors. The Exploratorium Audio Salon Podcast captures some of the exciting conversations so that the publc hear them, too. To find recent podcasts and look for ongoing programs, visit: http://www.explo.tv Among the Audio Salon podcasts already posted online are:

Dr. Christine Carter, a sociologist who studies the childhood roots of happiness, is the executive director of the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, an interdisciplinary research center that promotes the study of happiness, compassion, and altruism. In this program, Dr. Carter speaks about happiness, altruism, and the inspiring intersection of her personal and professional worlds.

Walter Kitundu, 2008 MacArthur “genius” Fellow and Exploratorium staff artist, is an accomplished instrument builder, musician and artist. He is also a dedicated bird watcher and photographer.
